A way to search across Yale’s collections of art, natural history, books, maps, photographs, audio and video recordings and other resources. The Center’s collections can be searched alongside over 1,500,000 assets (and growing), including those of the Yale University Art Gallery, Yale Peabody Museum, Lewis Walpole Library and Yale Library Map Collection.
Yale University Library’s Orbis
The principal online public access catalogue (OPAC) for Yale University, containing records for over 10 million items. Orbis includes the Center’s Rare Books and Manuscripts and Reference Library collections.
A website by the BBC and the Public Catalogue Foundation which aims to show the entire United Kingdom national collection of oil paintings online. It is made up of paintings from thousands of museums and other public institutions from around the UK.
Google Art Project
The Art Project is a collaboration between Google and some of the world’s most acclaimed art museums. Powered by a broad, connected suite of Google technologies, the Center’s collections are now shared with those of other great museums and are accessible to an unprecedented global audience.
The ARTstor Digital Library is a nonprofit resource that provides more than one million digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. The library’s community-built collections comprise contributions from outstanding international museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists’ estates.
