The Yale Center for British Art offers a number of opportunities that enable graduate students at Yale to become involved in its scholarly programs. These include:
- Project-based Research Assistantships, offered within the Center’s curatorial and other departments
- Summer travel grants to enable students to travel to the UK for research relating to their dissertations
- An annual Graduate Student Symposium for which graduate students at Yale and universities around the globe are invited to submit papers
- Biennially, a week-long Graduate Student Summer Seminar which seeks applications from students at Yale and internationally to take part in an intensive week-long course relating to the Center’s collections
Each fall, the Center also hosts an Open House for new graduate students, details of which are posted on the website during the summer.
