- Tuesday to Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm
- Sunday: noon to 5 pm
The Center is closed on Mondays, and on January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Young Visitors
The Yale Center for British Art is a wonderful place to explore with young children. Information about programs, family days, and activities is available from the Center's Education Department.
Strollers are permitted in the galleries. Changing tables are located in both the men's and women's public restrooms on the lower level.
Directions and Parking
From I-91 and I-95 take the downtown New Haven exit onto Route 34 West. Take exit 3. Turn right at the light onto York Street. Proceed 2.5 blocks to the Center’s parking lot on the right. (There is a fee to park in the lot, except on Sundays.) Additional parking is available in the Chapel-York Garage, on York Street between Crown and Chapel Streets; at meters on the street; and in other area lots.
Transportation
New Haven can be reached from New York, Boston, and Hartford via train service. See Metro-North (+1 212 532 4900) or Amtrak (1 800 872 7245) for schedules.
CT Transit runs a free shuttle between New Haven's Union Station and the New Haven Green every 20 minutes Monday through Friday. On weekends, CT Transit bus J5 or J7 may be taken between Union Station and the New Haven Green.
Taxis are available in front of Union Station.

For viewing prints, drawings, rare books, and manuscripts; no appointment is necessary.

This open-stack, non-circulating library is open to the public.
