James Green (Frances and Benjamin Benenson Foundation Assistant Curator of African Art, Yale University Art Gallery) leads a tour that focuses on portraiture and ideals of beauty in African art. Green continues to address these themes at the Center in The Hilton Als Series: Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, a focused exhibition of works by the London-based artist Lynette Yiadom-Boakye.

This program begins at the Yale University Art Gallery’s African galleries (1111 Chapel Street) and continues in the Center’s second-floor galleries.
