About this program

Join us for a restorative experience by practicing the art of slow looking and mindfulness in this meditation program focusing on a work from the YCBA’s collection. This program begins with a slow looking session of Barbara Hepworth’s Biolith, followed by a twenty-minute guided meditation led by Margot Broom, founder of Breathing Room New Haven.

No experience needed. Seating will be provided.

About Margot Broom

Margot Broom is founder and director of Educational Programming at Breathing Room, a community, yoga, and wellness center in New Haven. Rooted in a deep commitment to social justice and equity for all, Margot’s work centers on creating accessible, inclusive spaces that support healing, self-inquiry, collective care, and community-building. Her teaching helps practitioners of all levels feel truly welcome, while making even the most intricate aspects of yoga and meditation accessible, empowering, and deeply relevant.
