About the Publication:

British Art Studies is an online journal published by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art (PMC), London, and the Yale Center for British Art (YCBA), New Haven.

British Art Studies reflects the dynamic and broad-ranging research cultures and standards of excellence of the PMC and the YCBA, providing an innovative space for new research and scholarship on all aspects of British art. Submissions on British art, architecture, and visual culture from all periods in their most diverse and international contexts are encouraged. The digital format offers new opportunities for multimedia presentations and image-rich content.
The editors encourage submissions that will make the most of the journal’s online format and want to publish articles that propose visually stimulating ways of presenting art historical research. British Art Studies is one of the few completely open-access journals in the field of art history, providing a vital forum for the growing debate about digital scholarship, publication, and copyright.
