Summer Travel Grants (Graduate)
The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art (PMC) in London funds a limited number of travel grants to the United Kingdom for Yale graduate students engaged in research on topics concerning British art and architectural history (including the decorative arts and design history, graphic art, and film). The maximum grant amount is $2,000 and may be used to visit specific sites, monuments, museums, collections, libraries, or archives; to visit leading scholars in the student’s field for consultations and advice; or to attend conferences.
Applications are submitted through the Yale Student Grants database by searching “Paul Mellon Centre Summer Travel Grants.” Please include an outline of the project, the reasons for visiting the UK, a curriculum vitae, travel plans, and a budget. Applicants should also enclose a letter of recommendation from their advisor.
The 2020 application cycle is now closed.
