Children and Family Programs

The Center welcomes young visitors and their families to enjoy the collections and be inspired by over four hundred years of British art. Entrance to the museum and to all special exhibitions is always free, so you can stay for as short or as long a time as you like. Full listings for children and family programs are available in the Calendar. For other inquiries, contact Education (ycba.education@yale.edu | +1 203 432 2858).

Special Needs Program

Exploring Artism: A Program for Families
Saturdays, May 17, June 21, and July 19, 10:30 am–noon

A free program for families with children who are five to twelve years of age and on the autism spectrum, participants learn to look and respond to artwork in the museum’s galleries. Join us and engage in group conversations in the galleries, a follow-up art project in a museum classroom, and much more. While we have taken into account the needs of individuals with autism in designing this program, it is intended to be fun for parents, siblings, and other relatives too!

Free; pre-registration required. Please contact Education (ycba.education@yale.edu | +1 203 432 2858) with your name, number, and a good time to reach you by phone. A museum educator will call you to complete your registration.
