To celebrate the opening of the fall exhibition William Blake: Burning Bright, the Yale Center for British Art is hosting a moderated panel discussion that considers the relationship between word and image in Blake's multimedia artistic career.
The panel features presentations from Sarah Weston, Assistant Professor of English and Art History & Archaeology (by courtesy), Washington University, St. Louis, and Jessikah Díaz, PhD Candidate in English Language and Literature, Yale University, followed by a discussion moderated by Jonathan Kramnick, the Maynard Mack Professor of English, Director of Graduate Studies, Yale University. The event is cosponsored by the YCBA and the Yale English Eighteenth- and Nineteenth-Century Colloquium, a consortium of graduate students and faculty who gather throughout the year to share research and discuss emerging trends in the field.
Following the program, please join us for a tour of the exhibition led by Victoria Hepburn, Project Specialist, Publications.
