Exploring Art-ism is a free program for families with children ages 5-12 with sensory processing differences. Participants engage with artwork in the galleries and create a hands-on project in a museum classroom.
What is Exploring Art-ism?
It’s a FREE program for children on the autism spectrum and those with sensory-processing needs. Exploring Art-ism includes:
• Looking in the galleries
• Exploring materials
• Quiet Room with sensory toys and blankets
While the needs of individuals with sensory processing differences are prioritized, it is also fun for parents, siblings, and other relatives too!
Registration is required.
This program is conducted by the education department at the Yale Center for British Art in consultation with the Yale Child Study Center.
