The Friends of British Art are art lovers and supporters of the museum who share a deep interest in British art. They enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, conversations with artists and curators, exhibition previews, and visits to galleries, museums, and private collections.
Through their membership, the Friends of British Art support new acquisitions. This helps the museum build on the core strengths of the collection assembled by founder and benefactor Paul Mellon (Yale College Class of 1929) to represent the full story of British art up to the present day.
Friends automatically receive the benefits of free membership at the museum. Individual membership levels begin at $1,500. Membership for recent graduates (within five years) is $1,000.
