Artist Statement
I am an acrylic painter. I mostly paint pictures that have a nice blended background, colorful abstraction, and that tell a story. The way that the canvas looks when I’m finished and the reaction that people might have when they see my work is important to me. I photograph myself, my family, my creations, and unique things that I might see. These are important to me because when someone takes a picture of me, I get to see how beautiful I am. When I take pictures with my family, I know that we are bonding, which makes me happy. When I take pictures of my artwork, I feel satisfied because I realize that I painted this beautiful painting. Finally, when I take pictures of unique things, I feel amazed because I have never seen anything like that. I edit my work by cropping the photo to get rid of extra stuff that I do not want in my picture. The tools that I use are flash, brightness, and darkness. I take all the photos for me so that I can have memories of all the fun, silly, and family bonding moments that I experienced. I take photos for the viewer so that I can show people the unique things that happened in my life and make the viewer laugh.
