The exhibition People Look Up at Good Architecture at the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library underscores the significance of the Yale Center for British Art’s building, the last design by architect Louis I. Kahn (1901–1974). The display features photographs, letters, sketches, and other archival materials from Yale’s repositories and was curated by Jessica Quagliaroli, formerly Chief Archivist, Yale Center for British Art, and Kathy Winsor Bohlman, Architecture Records Archivist, Haas Family Arts Library Special Collections. The exhibition title comes from project notes by lighting designer Richard Kelly (1910–1977)—on view in the show which continues through May 11, 2025.

The Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library is located at 180 York Street, New Haven, and is open to the public Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 am – 6 pm; Fridays, 8:30 am – 5 pm; and Saturdays, 10 am – 5 pm. Outside these hours, a valid Yale ID with activated swipe access is required for entry.
