Teaching with Collections
The Center welcomes educators who wish to use the collections for teaching, whether it is a kindergarten class or a group of graduate students.
The Education department offers docent-led tours of the collections and classes tailored to visitors of all abilities. For more information, please see Tours.
Faculty from Yale and other schools are encouraged to teach from original works of art in the Center’s collections. To schedule a class in the public exhibition spaces or to discuss how the Center’s collections can become a valuable component of your teaching, contact Education (email@example.com(link sends e-mail) | +1 203 432 4773).
Teaching in the Study Room
The Study Room is also used for teaching with works from the Center’s Prints & Drawings and Rare Books & Manuscripts collections. Staff members are available for advice on planning classes. Please note that teaching in the Study Room is by prior appointment only (two weeks in advance) and class sizes are limited to fifteen students.
