Curatorial Scholar Awards
Curatorial Scholar Awards are open to any curators who are engaged in significant curatorial work in the field of British art.
These awards are open to curators worldwide who are engaged in significant curatorial work in any area of British art. Proposed research projects should relate to the curatorial responsibilities of the applicant. Eligible areas of research include cataloguing, interpretation, the development of exhibitions, collections displays or digital projects, exhibition catalogues or other related museum publications, collections development, conservation, and object care. Priority will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated need for funding.
See COVID-19 update under “Apply.”
Travel and Accommodation
Awards cover the cost and arrangement of a J1 visa, travel to and from New Haven, and include accommodations as well as a living allowance. Recipients are required to be in residence in New Haven for the duration of their award and must be free of all other significant professional responsibilities during their stay.
Given the extensive disruptions incurred by COVID-19, the Yale Center for British Art will not be accepting fellowship applications this year. We will relaunch the fellowship application portal in the fall of 2021 and anticipate being able to welcome successful applicants to Yale from September 2022.
