About this program
Equipped with a small pocket set of watercolors and a sketchbook, Turner captured the essence of landscape, color, and the movement of air and water. This three-part workshop will explore J. M. W. Turner: Romance and Reality through a close investigation of his watercolors. Through both gallery observation and hands on making, we will unpack Turner’s process to gain a better understanding of his practice as well as the content of the work. Ultimately, we will strive to see the world around us in new and meaningful ways through watercolor painting.
Adults of all artistic abilities are welcome to join this community. All materials are supplied.
This series will take place on May 15, May 22, and June 12, 6–7:30 pm.
Please note that registration is required for this program and is limited to 12 people.
