Residential Awards Guidance

The Yale Center for British Art (YCBA) is no longer accepting applications for our Residential Awards program. Please check back here for information about the next deadline. 
 

With your application, we ask that you submit the following information:
 

Project abstract and proposal

The abstract is a short (max. 1,000 characters) summary of your project. It should provide an overview of your project and the work you will undertake at the YCBA.

The proposal is a longer (max. 7,500 characters) description of your project. It should outline your work, its significance, and your plans for your fellowship, including the ways that access to the YCBA collections will contribute to the project’s success. 
 

Object list

Please provide a list of objects that you wish to consult during your fellowship at the Yale Center for British Art. Our catalogue may be accessed online. You are also welcome to request objects from other Yale collections, as needed for your project.
 

Additional information:

We require the names and contact details of two referees, but reference letters are not required.
