Join us in the galleries for this “Conservation Spotlight” talk where a YCBA conservator will reveal behind-the-scenes stories about how experts protect and preserve the collection. Jessica David is the Chief Conservator at the YCBA. The prolific studio from Britain’s rural West Country that produced this artwork combined an enduring, methodical approach to painting with idiosyncratic craft practices. She will discuss this double portrait’s distinctive physical character and the technical analysis that helped identify its maker.
