In 2001, the Center organized an exhibition of fifty-one paintings from its permanent collection for the Palazzo dei Diamanti, Ferrara, one of Italy’s foremost exhibition venues. This show was an expanded version of Canaletto to Constable: Views of Town and Country from the Yale Center for British Art, which was shown at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford, and Grand Rapids Art Museum, Michigan, in 1998–99.
