2024–2025 Kress Fellow in Art Librarianship
August 8, 2024
Beginning this summer, Caroline Scheving is the 2024–2025 Kress Fellow in Art Librarianship. Awarded annually, the Kress Fellowship in Art Librarianship secures the future of the field by promoting the advancement of new professionals. This opportunity is made possible through the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, which seeks to foster the study, conservation, and enjoyment of the vast heritage of European art, architecture, and archaeology from antiquity to the early nineteenth century. Centered at the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library, the fellowship also includes one day each week at the Yale Center for British Art in its Archives.
Caroline recently completed a dual master’s degree program at Indiana University in art history and library science. She also holds a BA in art history from Emory University. Her recent experience at Indiana University included serving as a part-time reference assistant at the Education Library and a part-time graduate assistant for the art history department. She was an inclusive collections assistant at the Herman B. Wells Library, where she helped the art librarian to craft MOSAIC research guides focused on inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA).
