Eligible areas of research include cataloguing, interpretation, the development of exhibitions, collections displays or digital projects, exhibition catalogues or other related museum publications, collections development, conservation, and object care.
Residency dates for successful applicants in the 2025 cycle may be held between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Awards may be held from one to two consecutive months.

Awards cover the cost of a J1 visa, travel to and from New Haven, and include accommodations as well as a living allowance. Assistance with immigration processes will be provided where possible.
