Daniel H. Weiss (Yale MPPM 1985), former president and CEO of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will discuss why museums matter with three Yale Center for British Art Student Guides: Tommy Kinservik ’24, Isaidy Medina ’25, and Ana Rodrigues ’25. 

About Daniel H. Weiss

Daniel H. Weiss, former president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is the author of Why the Museum Matters (2022) and In That Time: Michael O’Donnell and the Tragic Era of Vietnam (2019). Weiss earned a PhD from Johns Hopkins University in medieval and Byzantine art with a minor in classical Greek art and architecture, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He served as president of Haverford College and Lafayette College, and as dean at the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. He is currently Homewood Professor of the Humanities at Johns Hopkins and serves on the board of the Yale University Art Gallery.
