October 8, 2018

A Humbrol Art, by the British filmmaker Lily Ford, is one of a series of four short films exploring the life and creative output of George Shaw (born 1966). Shaw is one of Britain’s leading contemporary painters and was a Turner Prize nominee in 2011. This film series was commissioned for the exhibition George Shaw: A Corner of a Foreign Field, which has been organized by the Yale Center for British Art in collaboration with the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, London, and the Holburne Museum, Bath.

This project has been generously supported by Debbi and Richard Burston, Yale BA 1982.
